Senior Technician – now hiring

Due to our continued growth, Rovertune are seeking a Senior Technician to join the team based at our Reading headquarters.

A family owned business for the last two decades, Rovertune has become one of the leading Independent Land Rover service and repair specialists in the country, with an enviable record of caring for our customers vehicles.  We take great pride in giving honest, friendly and exemplary service to each of our customers, and this is reflected in the repeat visits we get from the majority of them, as well as customer satisfaction scores that rarely fall below 98%.

As we move forward, the business owner seeks to appoint a Land Rover certificated Senior Technician, who will bring their own skills, experience and abilities to strengthen and compliment the team.  The role will be focused on delivering great service to our customers using Land Rover approved tools, methodologies and practices, as well as internal systems designed to make the business as efficient as possible.  

This will be compensated accordingly, and we anticipate finding someone at the top end of the scale to ensure we engage with a high calibre candidate who will bring on board the skills and tenacity to assist us as we grow the business grow further.  We can also offer an enviable range of benefits such as flexible working and a generous bonus scheme.

Ideally the candidate will have a background in a similar role with a Land Rover dealership, although we are happy to talk to those whose experience has been gained elsewhere during a varied career.  More important to us is the attitude, the drive and the passion the successful candidate will have to make a difference every day to our customers, our staff and ultimately the business owners.

Essential skills will include;

  • A proven background in providing exceptional Land Rover and Range Rover vehicle services and repairs to consumers
  • A can-do attitude, with the demonstrable ability to work as an individual, and as part of a close team
  • Experienced in using JLR EPC and ToPiX, to ensure full compliance with Land Rover best practises
  • Strong face to face, telephone and email skills, to ensure the professional and slick presentation of our business to customers
  • Pragmatic negotiation and organisational skills when dealing with the suppliers and third parties we work with
  • A full, current UK driving license

Preferred skills will include;

  • Familiarity with Gemini Evolution, although training can be given
  • Experience in working alongside, mentoring and managing other team members to ensure customers are delighted with what is delivered
