Land Rover has recently celebrated the production of its 500,000th Range Rover Evoque at Halewood, just over four years after deliveries of the luxury compact SUV commenced.The Range Rover Evoque has turned out to be the fastest-selling and most successful Land Rover ever produced, having become the quickest to reach the half-a-million vehicle production landmark. One in every three Land Rovers sold around the world is a Range Rover Evoque and the continued strong global demand through forward orders ensures that the production line at Halewood will remain in operation 24 hours a day, with a new vehicle coming off the line every 80 seconds.

2,000,000th Defender sold for charity… for £400,000!

2,000,000th Defender sold for charity… for £400,000!

The one-off Land Rover ‘Defender 2,000,000’ fetched £400,000 at a prestigious charity auction held at Bonhams in London during December 2015. All proceeds from the sale were donated to Land Rovers humanitarian and conservation partners, the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), who will use the donation towards its work in Nepal, and the Born Free Foundation, who will use the funds raised to support the ‘Project Lion Rover’ conservation initiative in Meru National Park, Kenya.
