Land Rover is set to update its 2018MY Discovery Sport with mild aesthetic facelift adjustments to the front end (as indicated by the camouflaging in the photo above), but the big change is that it will also be produced with an entirely new hybrid option. We also believe that their will also be some external adjustments to the rear of the vehicle.
This hybrid option is part of Jaguar Land Rover’s promise to introduce an electrified variant of every model by 2020.
The Discovery Sport Hybrid will receive the newly developed 1.5-litre three cylinder petrol-hybrid powertrain that is to feature in the upcoming new version of the Range Rover Evoque plug-in hybrid due in 2019. It will provide around 30 miles of pure electric driving as well as delivering improved fuel economy.
